Our Communities

Indigenous women

Indigenous women are among the first to face the direct consequences of climate change, due to their dependence upon, and close relationship, with the environment and its resources

Displaced women

Climate crisis is disrupting livelihoods of refugees and displaced and making it more difficult for displaced people to become self-sufficient. Majority of women are highly vulnerable and ill-prepared to adapt to climate change.

Poverty stricken & Violent

Although climate change is a collective problem, its burdens — displacement, homelessness, extreme poverty, sexual violence and disease weigh more heavily on vulnerable women and girls.
